The Healthcare Infection Transmission System (HITS) Consortium looks to promote public health by reducing healthcare-associated infections through the integration of best infection prevention practices. HITS focuses on the major pathogen transmission systems in the healthcare setting specifically; surfaces, person-to-person, water and air. Join us for this one-of-a-kind event where researchers and experts from across disciplines will work toward identifying research gaps and applying data-driven methods in the field. Meet, greet and share ideas with experts from the industry as we explore creative and innovative solutions to this global problem.
How is HITS different? The HITS Consortium is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization serving the field of infection control and prevention. HITS take a holistic perspective to targeting healthcare associated infections by including multiple disciplines in the infection prevention conversation, including healthcare personnel, environmental services, construction and renovation, facilities management, engineering and more. We work together to understand and prevent the transmission of pathogens throughout the hospital facility through a collaborative effort that includes engaging in applied research. Ours is a working conference where we take an interdisciplinary approach to minimizing pathogen transmission in healthcare.
Conference highlights include: Earn continuing educational credits, interact and learn with experts, participate in networking opportunities, engage in research breakout sessions, research poster session, learn about cutting edge research, learn approaches to reducing pathogen transmission facility wide, continuous involvement opportunities and multidisciplinary lectures on infection control.
The 2018 Speaker line-up includes over 20 notable speakers from around the world on topics including hand hygiene, biofilms, risk assessments, aligning EVS with Infection Prevention, water management plans, HVAC, construction, and more! https://hitsconsortium.org/2018-nashville/2018-speakers-nashville/
Also, this year HITS is pleased to showcase The Infection Prevention Strategy: TIPS Top Innovations of the Year:2018 along side 20 exhibitors.
