Amanda Valyko is the Director of Infection Prevention & Epidemiology for Michigan Medicine. She has over 10 years of experience in Infection Prevention and is board certified in Infection Control and Epidemiology and a Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology. Amanda received her MPH from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Amanda works closely with Environmental Services at Michigan Medicine. They recently had a joint abstract at APIC related to the use of a new disinfectant and its impact on C. difficile. The team is also evaluating a variety of room disinfection technologies to determine how they can best supplement our program.
