Dr Katarzyna Ledwoch is a Research Assistant in School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Cardiff University, UK. Together with GAMA Healthcare Ltd., Katarzyna is developing novel formulations to fight against bacterial biofilms formed on hospital surfaces at healthcare settings. She finished her PhD at Cranfield University, where her thesis focused on development of novel techniques for microbial biofilms cultivation. She obtained double MSc title from Cranfield University, UK and Silesian University of Technology, Poland in biofuels process engineering. Katarzyna has chemical engineering background, with BSc in chemical technology and engineering completed at Silesian University of Technology. Her research interests include formation and development of microbial biofilms and control and prevention of healthcare associated infections.
